The Civic Hotel has gone from a humble city pub doling out bags of crisps with your beers to something of a dining destination thanks to chilli-powered Green Peppercorn Thai up stairs and a new Greek kitchen downstairs. And to launch the rise of yeeros at the Civic they're hosting a yeeros eating contest on Tuesday, Aug 9.
It costs $15 to enter, which will get you all the yeeros you can eat, plus a beer. Even if you only eat one that's a solid lunch deal right there. You need to register your attendance and choose whether you'll be competing in the 12.30pm round or 1pm, and then go to town.
