Hotel Kurrajong Canberra is bringing together a series of one-of-a-kind whisky menus and tastings to celebrate World Whisky Day, this coming Saturday May 20.
Firewater will be showcased in the Benny’s Double cocktail, with Johnnie Walker Gold Label, Luxardo liqueur and orange bitters, topped with luxe 23-carat gold leafing – so boujee.
They will also be doing a special three-course tasting menu with matched whiskies for $99. Feast on whisky-cured ocean trout with and apple and fennel salad and honey mustard dressing; slow roasted Margaret River Wagyu beef fillet with black pudding mash and red wine jus; and espresso crème brûlée with maple walnut ice cream and seasonal berries.
There will also be an intrepid whisky flight for $32. This will showcase India's Amrut Single Malt Whisky; Penderyn's 41 Single Malt Whisky and Victoria's own Starward Single Malt Whisky.
