If there’s a day to fully embrace a drink everyone loves and that’s actually good for your health, today is it. Raise a cup with a fat straw because we’re celebrating Global Smoothie Day, a day dedicated to enjoying smoothies and celebrating their connection to wellness and natural ingredients. It’s all about taking care of our health but in a fun and delicious way.

Bangkok’s weather may be confusing, one minute hot, one minute raining but does that really matter when there’s a perfectly blended smoothie within arm’s reach? No blender? No problem. The city is dotted with smoothie spots ready to turn your five-a-day into a rainbow-coloured cup of joy, from mallrat faves to indie juice bars.

Our ranking is based on taste, presentation, quality of ingredients and creativity, with a strong focus on keeping sugar content low. Healthiness is a key factor, so smoothies made primarily with fruits and vegetables are ranked higher because they are naturally lower in sugar. After all, what’s the point of feeling healthy if your smoothie is secretly a sugar bomb?

Here are 10 of the best smoothie spots in Bangkok to sip, slurp and celebrate Global Smoothie Day the right way.

  • Lumphini

What it is:  A Thai fruit smoothie brand under the After You umbrella that turns local fruits into fun, health-focused drinks. Everything is made from 100 percent natural produce, from fresh-cut selections to creative seasonal blends. Prices start at B60 and you can enjoy them as smoothies, cold-pressed juices or bottled drinks for on-the-go sipping. With branches at Samyan Mitrtown, Emsphere, Suvarnabhumi Airport, it’s easy to grab one on the go.

Why we love it: Luggaw offers authentic Thai flavour and personality. Each smoothie is a playful experiment, blending local fruits and ingredients while keeping sugar low to let the true taste shine. The brand has a knack for creativity, giving simple fruits witty names and cheeky presentations that make every order feel like an adventure.

Time Out tip: Keep an eye out for quirky names that only locals will fully get, such as ‘suay sud nai soi’ (prettiest in the alley) or ‘raksa phan jai’ (heart healer). They’re not just fun to order; many reflect the fruit’s health perks, too.

What it is: This smoothie spin-off from Ohkajhu, Thailand’s famous organic salad restaurant chain, launches with the aim of being Bangkok’s answer to LA’s Erewhon smoothies. It’s all about premium produce, no added sugar and photogenic blends that taste as good as they look. The first shop opened at Central Ladprao and has since expanded to Central Rama 9, Central World, Iconsia, The Mall Lifestore Bangkapi and The Mall Ngamwongwan. Drinks start at B85 for classics to B270 for signature creations.

Why we love it:  This smoothie spot combines Ohkajhu’s reputation for clean, organic produce with creative recipes and gorgeous presentation. The signatures are real deals, drinks such as ‘ocean n earth’ (almond milk, avocado, banana, coconut cream, yoghurt, collagen and blue majik spirulina extract), which looks like a little globe in a cup, and ‘angel’s secret’, a creamy pink blend with yoghurt tang and coconut cream. Drinkers rave about the rich flavours, smooth textures and freshness of the ingredients, while Instagram loves the colours.

Time Out tip: If you’re only trying one, make it ‘ocean n earth’. It’s the most photogenic and tasty. But if you prefer something lighter, go for ‘sunrise signature’ with its tropical fruit base and a subtle ginger kick. Prices are on the

What it is: Born as a student project in Boston, Self. smoothie has grown into one of Bangkok’s coolest health-driven drink spots. The concept is simple but strong: every smoothie packs in over 300 grams of real fruit, with no sugar, no artificial sweeteners and no boxed juices. Bases can be customized with water, yoghurt or oat milk, depending on how creamy (or light) you want your drink. You’ll find branches at Central Westville, Emquartier, Emsphere, La Villa Ari, Siam Paragon, Silom Complex and True Digital Park. Prices start at B120-B180.

Why we love it: The drinks are designed with wellness in mind. You can expect fun names that make ordering a little more joyful, like ‘you look great today!’ (mango, orange and passionfruit) or ‘never let you go!’ (strawberry, banana and yoghurt). The green blends, like ‘greeny does matter!’ with kale and pineapple, are packed with vitamins but go down refreshingly easy. For something different, the rambutan smoothie with jelly is a standout. There are also ‘super natural slushies’ (the watermelon one is a hot-weather lifesaver).

Time Out tip: Go for ‘cholesterol police’ if you need a citrus slap to wake you up on a Bangkok afternoon or never let you go for that antioxidant-rich, deep purple glow-up.

  • Rattanakosin

What it is:  108 Juices is located on Phra Athit Road and is a tiny juice bar with a turquoise facade that’s impossible to miss. The shop is known for its 100 percent fresh fruit and veggie juices with no sugar, no water, just straight-up produce in a cup. You can enjoy classics like mango, pineapple and carrot alongside custom mix-and-match blends. The vibe is laid-back with only a handful of outdoor tables but that hasn’t stopped it from becoming a magnet for both tourists and health-conscious locals. Price starts at B60.

Why we love it: This little shop proves you don’t need a fancy mall location or imported superfoods to make a great smoothie. The drinks are simple but spot-on, with natural sweetness and just a little ice so the fruit flavours shine. The orange-carrot combo stands out for its vivid colour and balanced taste, while the orange-carrot-beetroot trio is both photogenic and refreshing.

Time Out tip:  Stop by around 2pm-3pm when the rush dies down so you can snag a table out front and get that perfect juice-in-hand shot without having to dodge a crowd. If you’re ordering for the ‘Gram, go for a beetroot mix as the colours pop beautifully on camera.

What it is: The new health-forward concept from Ve/la brings plant-based blends into the beverage scene. The smoothies mix fresh fruits, veggies, oat milk and superfoods – all free from sugar and syrup. You’ll find branches at Apostofi House, Central World, Emporium, Emsphere, Siam Discovery, The Circle Ratchapruk and The Foyer, with prices ranging from B155-325.

Why we love it:  Vela doesn’t just throw fruit in a blender – it layers flavours, textures and nutrients in ways that feel almost like dessert but without the sugar crash. The nine blended drinks are a playful mix and the star of the lineup has to be blended cerulean, made with blue spirulina, a natural anti-inflammatory that gives the smoothie its striking ocean-blue colour.

Time Out tip: Start with the blended cerulean, it’s the drink everyone’s talking about and the one that best captures the ‘healthy but fun’ vibe. If you’re after something more adventurous, try blended ‘PB&J’, which tastes like a smoothie and a snack rolled into one.

  • Silom

What it is:  Chevy Chase – yes, you read that right –  is a grab-and-go spot for smoothies and juices in the Silom area. This tiny shop is all about quick refuels, whether you’re blending your own combo (choose five fruits and add-ons) or grabbing a signature drink. Just steps away from BTS Sala Daeng. Prices range from B159 to B169, depending on how fancy you go.

Why we love it: The menu has personality to match the smoothies. Playful names like ‘dalmatian’ (coconut, banana, sesame spread, oat milk) and ‘mojo jojo’ (kale, blueberry, pineapple, banana, honey, oat milk) feel like cartoon characters in a cup. For something more tropical, try ‘man go crazy’ (mango, honey, coconut milk) or if you’re team berry, ‘berry good day’ is your jam.

Time Out tip:  If you’re indecisive, start with the ‘coconana’ – a coconut, banana, honey and blue spirulina blend that looks just as striking as it tastes.

  • Siam

What it is: A playful, health-minded cafe that turns fresh fruits and vegetables into inventive smoothies. The menu skips artificial additives in favour of natural blends. Highlights include salad-inspired ‘hail caesar’ and tom yum-flavoured, ‘Bangkok summer’.

Why we love it:  Paak takes smoothie creativity to another level. Drinkers can expect unexpected combos like ‘celocado’ (avocado, mango, cacao) and ‘paser’ (spinach, kiwi, banana) make greens feel exciting, while ‘Bangkok summer’ delivers a tangy, zesty kick.

Time Out tip: If you’re new here, start with a signature, ‘hail caesar’ if you’re into savoury flavours or ‘Bangkok summer’ for something bold. Feeling adventurous? Build your own mix and discover a personal favourite.

  • Phloen Chit

What it is: Born from the passion of Chef Lek Sunit Nick, Pash is all about turning Thailand’s juiciest fruits into premium smoothies and juices. The name comes from passionfruit. His obsession shows in every sip, with branches at The Commons Thonglor, Central Embassy, Siam Center, Iconsiam and True Digital Park.

Why we love it: These aren’t your average food-court smoothies but they’re thick, luscious blends that pack in superfoods like spirulina, collagen and kale without tasting like health homework. From plant-based power shakes to yoghurt smoothies, each cup is a smooth, naturally sweet hug from Thai fruit. Sure, prices are a notch above your street-stall juice but one sip of that silky texture and balanced flavor and you’ll get why.

Time Out tip: Go big with ‘poseidon’ (spirulina, collagen, kale, apple, yuzu) if you’re after a superhero potion or keep it flirty with ‘Aphrodite (banana, strawberry, yoghurt, collagen). Always size up, the small is never enough once you’ve tasted how smooth they blend.

What it is: Jones’ Salad has gone beyond greens and into the smoothie game and the results are just as addictive. Every smoothie is made with 100 percent real fruits and veggies, no sugar, syrup or honey added. The menu covers everything from protein-packed blends to fibre-boosting mixes and collagen-friendly creations, all crafted to taste fresh, natural and satisfying. You can grab them at any Jones’ Salad branch. Prices are wallet-friendly too, starting at B99.

Why we love it: The drinks are packed with creamy coconut-avocado mixes, tangy berry bursts and green blends filled with fibre that make you feel good without the sugar crash. People love how naturally sweet they taste, how thick and filling they are and the fun, quirky names like ‘cloud on the farm’ and ‘thanos power’ make ordering even more enjoyable.

Time Out tip: First-timers should go for ‘cloud on the farm’, a mix of avocado, coconut, pineapple, banana and peanut butter, topped with coconut cream that looks like fluffy clouds. Gym rats will want ‘thanos power’, loaded with berries, apple, coconut, peanut butter, blue spirulina and a solid 23 grams of plant protein. If you’re after something lighter, ‘very berry and ‘watermelon splash’ are refreshing, fruity picks that hit the spot on a hot day.

What it is:

Born in Australia in 2000, Boost has been mixing up its fruits for over two decades and is now a mall favourite in Bangkok, with spots at Siam Paragon, Central World and Emquartier. The concept is simple but brilliant: fresh fruit and veg smoothies, blended juices and protein shakes made just for you. The secret weapon is their signature yoghurt base (TD4), which makes every sip creamy without weighing you down.

Why we love it:

The brand has one of the biggest menus of any smoothie chain in Bangkok, and it’s impossible not to find a blend that fits your mood. Flex your muscles with ‘Protein Supreme’. It contains enough protein to meet your needs. But heads up: these drinks can be sweet enough to satisfy your inner sugar monster, a medium cup can easily sneak in 20-30g of sugar. But fear not, health heroes, here is the ‘lean & green juice’, ‘veggie juice’, and ‘5 a day juice’ are your low-sugar allies.

Time Out tip:

This is a brand where sugar sneaks in fast, so balance it out with size choices or by skipping add-ons. So be careful with your choice of drink. If you want a quick pick-me-up without the sugar crash, we recommend ordering ‘berry berry light’ (5.7 g sugar), ‘5 a day juice’ (5.9 g sugar) or ‘veggie juice’(4.2 g sugar). So, even though it is easy to find a Boost, it is not ideal to drink one every day.
