My vocabulary is awful. What are the best long words to drop into a conversation to impress someone?

Stick to what you know, Wee Fung. Ain’t no use using a word you’re not familiar with; people will smell you out like a rat. Also, I would encourage you to be less sizeist against short words. Just because a word is short doesn’t mean it can’t be impressive, ya feel?

Everyone is busy posting photos about getting married or having a baby. Should I deactivate my Facebook account?

Yes, absolutely. Facebook is for the weak. Get yourself a Netflix account. Sure, it costs a little more but I assure you it’s worth it. I’m not sure about a lot of things, Jayesh, including if you will actually read this, but swapping Facebook for Netflix? I haven’t been more sure of anything in my life.

I’m bad at making small talk. What’s a joke that works every time?

Well Hema, life is a joke and it’s very important that you realise this. This means that whatever you choose to small talk about is perfectly fine, because none of it really matters anyway. There’s more to telling a joke than you may think. Indeed, some would say it’s a precise art – so I’d steer clear of it if you don’t have much experience. My trick with small talk is to be the person who asks all the questions. Remember, humans are selfish beings who jump at the opportunity to talk about themselves, so that’s your way in.
