Touch ‘n Go reload lanes closed for Merdeka and Hari Raya Aidiladha holidays

With the long Merdeka and Hari Raya weekend coming up, PLUS is temporarily closing down all Touch ‘n Go reload lanes across the country. This is done to help ease congestion and ensure the smooth flowing of traffic during the expected long weekend rush. All 134 reload lanes will be closed from August 29 to September 4.

This isn’t a new tactic by PLUS; reload lane closures have been carried out before during Chinese New Year and Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays and really did help with the traffic, as according to PLUS Managing Director Datuk Azman Ismail.

That being said, remember to load up on Touch ‘n Go credit before going on any road trip next weekend (if you want to and are out of ideas, here’s a list of food road trips to take outside the city). You can head to ATMs, convenience stores, petrol stations and more to top up; and Touch ‘n Go has also conveniently (and helpfully) listed out the places you can reload with and without a reload fee of RM0.50. Also, don’t forget: All PLUS highways are now fully electronic; so make sure you don’t travel without a Touch ‘n Go card, or at least put some credit into your new IC.
