The inspiration came from Bill Shankly, the legendary Liverpool FC manager, when he decided to dress all his players in red back in 1964. Crimson red is the main colour theme for this edition, so that includes the bottle, label, cap and even the beer.
Carlsberg Red Barley gets its distinctive colour from a barley variety that is specially curated and bred by the scientists at the Carlsberg Research Laboratory. The taste? Clean, crisp and slightly hoppy! Due to the barley’s rarity, Carlsberg only produced the Red Barley in a small quantity of 2,500 bottles globally.
