With the spotlight on specially selected spices this year, the Ramadhan spread at Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur will be a feast for the palate

Be spoilt for choice this holy month at Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur’s Melting Pot Café. This year’s spread is themed ‘Citarasa 6 Sekawan’, and showcases the flavours of six specially selected spices – black pepper (lada hitam), candlenut (buah keras), cardamom (buah pelaga), cloves (buah cengkih), cinnamon (kulit kayu manis) and star anise (bunga lawang). There will be over 160 dishes, and three different buffet menus on a daily rotation.

Break your fast with dates, dried apricots and bubur lambuk, before making your way to the delicious spread of traditional Malay dishes. Look out for dishes like siput sedut masak lemak daun kunyit, ikan patin masak tempoyak, and the signature sup gearbox; or check out the selection of Indonesian Padang favourites like gulai ikan masak lemak, daging dendeng kering balado merah, sotong kalio and more.

Fresh seafood is also available, and there will be eight live cooking stations including a teppanyaki corner, roti john and à la minute desserts (with onde-onde and apam balik) set up where diners can watch their food being prepared. If you want some variety, there’s also Chinese, Indian, Thai and Japanese options like chicken siew mai, Thai-style steamed fish, lamb varuval, butter chicken, sashimi and more.
