Take a dip in the city's best infinity pools with a view

By Time Out KL editors

For something a little more glamorous than your neighbourhood pool, make a splash at these top rooftop pools in KL, all offering stunning views of the city skyline. However, do take note that these pools are only open to the respective hotel's guests, but you can console yourself with a drink or two from the bars adjacent to the pools.

Capri by Fraser

Hotels B&Bs Bangsar South

Capri’s rooftop infinity pool treats you to a panoramic view of Bangsar South. Thin transparent glass barriers surround the pool to achieve the effect of a never-ending sea of water. At 4pm, Capri’s rooftop U-Bar is set up adjacent to the pool so you can grab a drink between laps.

The KL Journal

Hotels Bukit Bintang

If you’re in the area of Bukit Bintang and need a drink and a view, head over to The KL Journal. The pool is open from 11am to 10pm, but do note that if you’re not a hotel guest you’ll need to buy a drink from the bar to enjoy the view.

Somerset Ampang KL

Hotels B&Bs KL City Centre

Located along Jalan Ampang, Somerset’s rooftop infinity pool offers a stunning unimpeded view of the city’s skyline. For a more luxurious experience, step into the adjoining Jacuzzi equipped with water jets. The apartment is within Menara HSC, which is also home to SOULed Out Ampang.

Traders Hotel

Hotels KL City Centre

While the pool at Traders Hotel’s SkyBar isn’t the city’s newest, it’s still a KL classic. The combination of sunken alcoves and cabanas around the pool plus a dizzying view of the Twin Towers makes for an excellent spot for lounging and swimming. We say treat yourself to a cocktail or two from SkyBar after taking a dip.

Aloft KL

Hotels KL Sentral

Although the pool is only meant for hotel guests, you can still go there to sit by the pool and soak in the view. Just make sure to buy a drink at Mai Bar. The bar also occasionally host barbecues and pool parties so check their Facebook page for updates. Bookmark this under staycation ideas if you’re playing tourist in the city – Brickfields is a short ten-minute walk and the nearby KL Sentral connects you to other areas around the city.

The FACE Suites

Hotels Bukit Bintang

The highlight at The Face Suites isn’t their prime location or spacious and modern rooms – it’s their rooftop pool on the Sky Deck. Located on the 51st floor (the highest floor in the building), the borderless infinity pool offers unobstructed, panoramic views of KL’s skyline. Here’s a tip: Go for your swim in the evening to enjoy the best sunset views.
