This rooftop unit is split into two air-conditioned event spaces – Big Brother and Small Cousin – furnished with a bar counter, a fridge in the pantry, a DJ station, loud speakers, benches and a barbecue pit outdoor. If you need a place to crash, Boutel also has a suite for rent, consisting of two queen-sized beds and a bathroom.

Wanaka’s spacious layout provides the flexibility for you to entertain any theme you have in mind. You can have canopies, catering services and sound systems set up, as long as you meet the house rules. Currently, birthday parties are limited to kids aged two and under to avoid disruption to the surrounding neighbourhood.

Creativity is the rule at The Canvas, so run with your imagination when it comes to decorating the space for your party, from mixing-and-matching the collection of antique furniture to writing on the walls. Its sister branch, Greyhouse, sports a more chic interior with an outdoor compound suitable for leisure activities and alfresco dining.

There are two sections to RUANG – one is decked out in alternating white-washed and wood-panelled walls, parquet floor and black frame windows, while the other has a more rustic design of exposed brick walls, cement floor and hanging light bulbs. Depending on the ambience you prefer, tables and chairs and the catering service can be set up in one space, saving the other for fun and games.
