Hawksmoor Seven Dials has a brand new burger, and it looks like a barbecue beast

Be still, my meaty beating heart. Because steak saviours Hawksmoor are bringing a beast-like chicken burger to their Seven Dials bar menu. The Kansas Speedway Burger has joined the stellar food line-up for a limited time only, with a filling inspired by an annual BBQ convention that takes place in the American Midwest. As such, expect a fried chicken thigh coated in Kansas City-style red barbecue sauce.

The fried chicken is perched on layers of pickled tomato and baby gem lettuce and is sandwiched within a brioche bun. It’s not the cheapest meat feast, at £16 a pop. But a chilli cheese sauce is served in a jug on the side for added value, and all burgers come with Hawksmoor’s famous beef dripping fries or thrice-cooked chips. Go on, get yourself in a Wichita state.

The Kansas Speedway Burger is on the menu at the bar at Hawksmoor Seven Dials, 11 Langley St, WC2H 9JG for £16 until the end of June.
