Nick Cave, Patti Smith and St Vincent are playing Victoria Park in 2018

In case you missed the announcement a few weeks back, All Points East is a new festival series taking over Victoria Park next summer.

Having already announced LCD Soundsystem, Björk, The xx and The National as headliners of their own individual days so far, they’ve just added Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds to the list too. The brutish balladeer plays on June 3 2018, and is joined by some very sublime supports: punk’s guiding star Patti Smith and her band, the beguilling St Vincent (currently touring her ace ‘Masseduction’ album), plus fantastic Aussie songwriter Courtney Barnett, who’ll hopefully bless us with a follow-up to 2015 debut ‘Sometimes I Sit and Think...’ before then.
