Is landlocked London life getting you down? Feel the sand between your toes with a trip to one of these city beaches.

Brixton Beach

Beach for the stars at Brixton Rooftop’s Havana-inspired tropical ‘resort’ filled with cubanitos, mojitos and street eats. You’ll also find London’s first Taco Festival here on June 8. Brixton Rooftop. Tube: Brixton. Fri May 26-Oct 29. From £10 (inc one meal and one drink) at timeout.com/brixtonrooftop.

Neverland London

A swish pop-up beach has opened close to the river in Fulham, complete with deck chairs, retro beach huts and ‘beach butlers’ for hire. You’ll have to shell out a rather steep tenner for entry, so it’s a good thing its BYOB. Neverland London. Tube: Parsons Green. Until Oct 21. £10.

The Beach Bar

Dust off your Birkenstocks for a night at this ‘seaside’ boozer in Bloomsbury. From June, The Montague will be serving tropical drinks and barbecue dishes in a Bahamian setting with real sand and beach hut-style thatched roofs. The Montague on the Gardens. Tube: Holborn. Jun 1-Sep 24. Free entry.
