Since the 1970s there’s been an upswing in the number of Latin Americans coming to London, whether fleeing political turbulence or just chasing economic opportunities. The biggest group of Spanish-speaking South American expats here is Colombian, with a population of 20,000 or so concentrated around Elephant & Castle, Brixton and Seven Sisters. And like other immigrant populations, they’ve brought with them exciting new sights, sounds and flavours from halfway across the world.

So tell us: what’s your favourite Colombian place in London? We want to hear about that grocery shop stuffed with cassava and plantains, that local restaurant dishing up Caribbean classics, that incredible little salsa club and anywhere else you go to get a little bit of Colombia in the capital. Tip us off in the comments box below, and we’ll use the best suggestions in Time Out London magazine.

Done? Then check out our guide to the best of Mexican London.
