London Poké-fans, listen up. Remember that spectacular Pokémon pop-up last year at Outernet on Tottenham Court Road? It’s coming back – this time bigger and better than before.
Last November the Pokémon Company International marked the launch of a brand-new app game called Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket with an Outernet pop-up. This year the brand is celebrating that game’s first anniversary with a significantly larger experience, promising all-new activities and much more.
The pop-up will be split over several rooms. Outernet’s main Now Building atrium will boast ‘motion-controlled pack openings’ on its ginormous screens, including a ‘mega-sized’ pack opening from the latest expansion Mega Rising (see below).
The Now Pop 1 room will give Pokémon fans the opportunity to get photos with Pikachu, as well as experience a DJ Pikachu set, while Now Pop 2 will have playable demos of recently released video game Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
All of which will likely be phenomenally exciting to fans of Pokémon and players of TCG Pocket (and probably a bit nonsensical to those that aren’t). The pop up is on for two days: Saturday November 8 (10am-7pm) and Sunday November 9 (11.15am-7pm).
