North/east London staple the Dusty Knuckle is set to bring its scrumptious loaves and splendid sarnies to Finsbury Park. One of Time Out’s favourite bakeries – and our bakery of the year 2025 – will open its third location on Blackstock Road in November.
Yep, DK’s packed sourdough sandwiches, perfectly baked pastries and boldly flavoured pizzas could well be coming to N4. We’re currently a bit light on details for exactly what Dusty Knuckle Finsbury Park will contain – will it have pizzas? sit-in café space? something totally new? – but we do know the address: 81 Blackstock Road (N4 2JW).
The Dusty Knuckle is one of London’s most hyped bakeries, but it certainly hasn’t rushed into expanding to new sites. Founded by Max Tobias, Rebecca Oliver and Daisy Terry, it opened a first location in Dalston in 2014 and a second on Green Lanes in 2021. Dusty Knuckle has had a van café in Highbury Fields since around 2024.
More than just a place for tasty baked goods, the Dusty Knuckle also runs a trainee programme for young people who face barriers to employment. The company mentors ‘at-risk’ youth with on-the-job training.
