Easter is just a month away, and we all know what that means: supermarkets stocked wall-to-wall with every kind of egg-shaped chocolate you can imagine. The double bank holiday is your perfect yearly excuse to dedicate four whole days to eating as much choc as you can physically ingest.
Lovers of a classic gold-foiled bunny or a creamy-in-the-middle Lindor, we have extremely exciting news. Swiss chocolate icons Lindt & Sprüngli have announced the opening of a new ‘chocolate paradise’ in east London.
Opening on March 20, the Lindor-makers are launching a new 1,800 square foot store dedicated entirely to, you guessed it, chocolate.
Located in Westfield Stratford, the new choco-haven will be home to a Lindt pick ’n’ mix selection. East Londoners on the hunt for a sugar fix can expect 35 different chocolate varieties, including a number which will be exclusive to the Stratford store. Think Choco Wafer, Popcorn, Cherry Blossom, Marc du Champagne, Stracciatella and Giandujotto.
A chocolate ‘bar’ will be serving hot choc, milkshakes and freshly-made gelato. Plus, chocoholics looking to level-up their Easter gifting game can do just that, with treats wrapped up and personalised by the store’s gifting team.
The new outpost is Lindt’s second London location after its flagship Piccadilly megastore, which opened last year. The West End venue will be celebrating its first birthday on March 21 – the day after the new Stratford store opens its doors – and Lindt is marking the occasion with goodie bags for the first 365 customers that spend £20.
The Westfield Stratford store, Lindt’s 28th chocolate shop worldwide, opens its doors at 10am on Friday March 20. Special goodie bags will be given to the first 250 customers at the grand unveiling.
