After five days of strikes that have brought the London Underground to an almost complete halt, the tube will be back in business this weekend.
That’s just in time for Londoners to make the most of every brilliant thing the city has going on over the next three days. There’s the Open House Festival giving the public access to iconic London buildings like 10 Downing Street and the Inns of Court, the grand opening of the ‘extraordinary’ new David Bowie Centre, Somerset House’s 25th birthday bash, all new music festival Jazz on the Wick and the mega meaty Burger Fest, to name but a few.
But just because strikes are over, don’t get complacent. While most lines will be up and running as usual, there are several planned changes to services and timetables, including cancellations on the District line and reduced trains on the Lizzie line. Here’s the full rundown of all the London transport disruption to expect this weekend.
