M&S is on a roll in London. So far this year the dependable fashion, beauty, home and food retailer has completed the revamp of its Pantheon Oxford Street flagship, refreshed its Bankside and Whetstone locations, opened a new outpost in Tooting and moved its Tottenham Court Road store to a bigger location.

But Marks and Sparks isn’t stopping there. This week the company revealed plans for a huge new store in Wembley Park. The northwest London area will welcome a new M&S Foodhall in summer 2027.

Wembley’s new M&S will sprawl over a whopping 14,300 square feet. It’ll be more than just a big supermarket: alongside Marks and Spencer’s usual fresh produce and brand favourites (Percy Pig, Colin the Caterpillar, picky bits selection and all) will be an in-store bakery and dedicated areas for wine and flowers.

As well as being targeted at Wembley Park residents, the new food hall will serve visitors to Wembley Stadium. Around 17 million people visit Wembley Park every year.

This financial year M&S is aiming to open four new stores and renew six. This autumn the brand will open two new food locations: one at Elephant and Castle and another in Sydenham. Last year Marks and Spencer revealed long-term plans to open 200 new supermarkets in London.

Did you see that Gail’s is opening a new bakery in north London – and it’s already controversial?

Plus: London’s biggest McDonald’s will soon be open 24 hours.
