On Tuesday evening (September 30), Rudy’s Pizza on Wardour Street in Soho will play host to none other than Diego Vitagliano, a man who’s officially one of the world's very best pizzaiolos, according to 50 Top Pizza.
Crowned Italy’s best pizza chef and ranked number two in the world, Diego’s stellar reputation rests on an irresistible combo – his ’zas are rooted in Neapolitan tradition but unafraid of playful, modern twists. That means perfectly blistered dough, top-tier ingredients and inventive recipes that give your taste buds a proper workout. And for one night only, he’ll be showing London exactly why he’s considered pizza royalty.
So, what’s on the menu? Expect a lineup of limited-edition specials created in collaboration with the Rudy’s team. There’s Diego’s diavola, a fiery, flavour-packed pie topped with Calabrian ’nduja, fresh green chilli and shavings of nutty grana padano. Or the conciaciccia, which piles on the spianata piccante and delicate flakes of cacioricotta cheese. Basically: not your average Tuesday night pizza.
And that’s not all. Other one-off pizzas include the salsiccia and friarielli, loaded with Tuscan fennel sausage, smoked provolone and chilli-roasted greens from Sicily. Then there’s ‘almost carbonara’, a carb-lover’s dream featuring fior di latte, crispy guanciale, pecorino and egg yolk.

Rudy’s has already made a name for itself as one of the UK’s most consistent spots for proper Neapolitan pizza, but teaming up with Diego takes things to a whole new level. Londoners - this is your chance to taste world-class pizza without booking a flight to Naples. Don’t miss it.
