This is officially the best hotel in London, according to Time Out

When it comes to hotels, London has it all. Historic palaces of grandeur? Check. Charming boutique boltholes? Check. Sleek and modern eco-friendly stays? Check. 

But which of London’s myriad hotels is the best? That’s where we are here to help. Over the past 12 months our team, headed up by editor-in-chief Joe Mackertich, have been reviewing digs across the capital. And now we have come up with the definitive ranking of London’s best hotel for 2025. 

According to our travel experts, London’s best hotel right now is the Town Hall Hotel in Bethnal Green. 

‘The Town Hall Hotel in Bethnal Green, once the site of the 1920 British Socialist Party conference, has undergone quite the transformation from a hub of political dissent to a haven of understated luxury,’ wrote David Whitehouse in his five-star review.

‘Today, its a whole blend of Edwardian architecture, art deco details and baroque corridors, like stepping into a scene from the past, and the prices are remarkably reasonable – rooms start at a mere £160 per night, with the most expensive suites starting at £400.

‘In a building once dedicated to the drab duties of local government, the Town Hall Hotel has created somehow created one of London’s most distinctive boutique stays, at genuinely unbeatable prices.’

Whitehouse lauded Town Hall for its stylish but not pretentious rooms, three distinct restaurants, including the two-Michelin-starred Da Terra and its heated 14-metre pool and spa. 

In second place was West End boutique Broadwick Soho, known for its bold interiors, followed by luxury eco property 1 Hotel Mayfair in third.
