The only bad thing about Spanish tapas restaurant Barrafina is the queue. The Adelaide Street branch was named the best restaurant in London by us in 2017 – it is foodie paradise – but the no-reservations policy means it’s very tricky to get in. The good news is: that’s about to change. As of March 2, the restaurant will be running monthly bookable Friday lunches, held in its private dining room and called Arroz Fridays. On the special menu will be Arroz Meloso de Marisco, a rice dish made with seafood. The whole menu costs £35 a head and includes green salad, pan con tomate, padron peppers, turrón and tea or coffee as well as wine or beer.

Barrafina Adelaide Street’s monthly Arroz Fridays begin on March 2.
