Central London’s twinkling festive hub returns for 2021
In years gone by, a delightful festive pop-up has materialised right in the centre of one of London’s most iconic spaces, with a full-on Christmas market, many eating and drinking options and entertainment curated by Underbelly. For obvious reasons, it didn’t happen last year but it’s back in Leicester Square from November 12 to January 3 for the 2021 festive season.
The main attraction is alternative circus and cabaret show ‘La Clique’, which will take up residence in a huge spiegeltent for eight weeks. When ‘La Clique’ isn’t on (every Monday and certain Sundays), ‘Austentatious: An Improvised Jane Austen Novel’ will swish on to the stage, and there’s a bunch of kids’ events planned too, including Baby Loves Disco and ‘The Bubble Show’.
And if there are performances, you can bank on nearby refreshments, attractions and shopping opportunities for their audiences. Festive food and drink stalls and a traditional Christmas market will be open to all, whether or not you have a show ticket.
