Brooklyn's favorite pizza, Roberta's, is hitting L.A.

We have some really good pizza here in L.A., but we know there are still plenty of doubters out there who think New York has us beat on that one particular point (well, maybe also bagels). If you find yourself in that camp, it’s time to get excited because crazy-popular Brooklyn pizzeria Roberta’s is coming to L.A.

The artisan pizza makers will be popping up at the Platform dining and retail complex in Culver City for at least two months. On Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday each week they will be serving pizzas and plates straight off the menu of the original Bushwick outpost, according to Eater L.A.

Pizzas start baking on December 1 and will keep going through January, but there’s some hint that the closing date might be open to extension.

This isn’t Roberta’s first West Coast foray. They have done one-night-only events at Sqirl and Marvin and took their pizza show on the road for the Desert Trip music festival last month. All that time visiting L.A. has to make us wonder, are they planning an expansion? They’re a strictly New York City operation at the moment, but we certainly wouldn’t say no to them making a permanent second home here.

If you decide you need to get a slice of the pie, we suggest bringing a side of patience. The lines at the Brooklyn restaurant are the stuff of legend—and that’s for a place that’s there every day, not a limited time pop-up. We’ll leave it up to you to decide if it lives up to the hype.

Roberta’s will be popping up in L.A. starting Dec 1 at Platform, 8850 Washington Blvd in Culver City. Hours are 11am to 9pm on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
