Arts House is reopening with a housewarming party that takes over the entire building

Arts House is reopening and welcoming Melburnians back into the fold with a big old (artistic) housewarming. This April, Arts House reopens with Housewarming: a nine-day event where 11 artists are taking over Arts House with installations, interactive exhibitions and performances.

The artists tranforming the space include Robin Fox, Chelle Destefano, Matthias Schack-Arnott, Aviva Endean, Samara Hersch, Matto Lucas, Irihipeti Waretin, Bella Waru, Andy Butler, Amaara Raheem and Zoe Scolgio. This isn't your average arts exhibition; come expecting works both weird, wonderful and thought provoking. Guests can get a satirical palm reading, ride an art-filled elevator, a floral suite of portraits depicting queer and First Nations families (where you can also create your own portrait) and a walking tour-turned-reading-circle through North Melbourne. We're also excited about Robin Fox's laser and crystal work that will turn a corner of the North Melbourne Town Hall into a dazzling indoor galaxy.

Guests can freely explore the building during their one hour session at Housewarming. Better yet, it's free to attend (you'll need to book tickets though).
