Sidney Myer Fund Australian Ceramic Award

Invigorated by the trend towards ceramics as a vehicle for concepts, rather than a purely "craft" form, the Sidney Myer Fund Australian Ceramic Award has become an exciting event in the contemporary art calendar: a chance to see top flight artists working in the medium. And the $50,000 prize means that the works exhibited are ambitious. The 2017 exhibition showcases works by finalists Glenn Barkley, Karen Black, Laith McGregor, and Yasmin Smith, as well as winner Jenny Orchard.
