Hot of the heels of Melbourne International Comedy Festival, some of stand-up's funniest First Nations comedians are coming together for a one night laugh-stravaganza. The Deadly Funny Showcase is the result of MICF's Deadly Funny workshop program and comp, which aims to unearth the best Indigenous comedians around. It does a pretty good job too, with past grads inclusing Steph Tisdell and Dane Simpson.
This year the Deadly Funny Showcase rises again as part of Yirramboi and features the likes of Dane Simpson, Kimmie Lovegrove, Ben Moodie and Shiralee Hood, all hosted by Constantina Bush. More comedians are still to be announced too.
