We are mammals, and mammals grow hair on their bodies. But few things that naturally occur to our bodies cause such consternation – should we remove the hair we grow? Trim it back? Let it go wild?
This hairy question is at the heart of the Clams' new water ballet, Grow Your Own Way. The Clams, if you have not heard of them, are a troupe of amateur water ballet enthusiasts. They have previously done shows about menstruation and body positivity, so you should expect to find a supportive environment, no matter what your own hirsute preferences.
The show is choreographed by regular Clam choreographers Holly Durant and Gabi Barton. It goes for about 20 minutes, and it will be performed twice. The performance is in a swimming pool (naturally), and before and after the Clams' performance they are hosting a pool party, with DJ Whiskey Houston spinning tunes. Kids are welcome.
