Time Out says

Green Music Australia and School Strike 4 Climate are hosting weekly livestreamed music concerts

While other disasters might have taken the spotlight in 2020, there's no doubt that the world's changing climate is still a major global concern. You can still get involved with the movement, however, with School Strike 4 Climate and Green Music Austalia hosting a second round of livestreamed concerts to support climate campaigns.

Climate Fridays is a seven-week series of livestreamed concerts hosted by Nkechi Anele and featuring some of the country's favourite musicians. The line-up pretty much guaranteed to start your weekend right with the likes of Allday, Cub Sport, Jen Cloher, Gretta Ray and Barkaa.

The regular Friday events are more than just music gigs too, with each evening including panel discussions with Australian artists, activists and First Nations guests. Climate Fridays aims to support organisations like SEED Indigenous Youth Climate Network and Original Power with their anti-fracking campaigns, as well as the anti-coal mining, anti-coal seam gas campaigns of Lock the Gate.

Climate Fridays started as a way to keep the environment movement active even as we're contained to our homes. Each concert can be watched via Facebook Live – head to the Facebook event for more info.
