Step inside a campy, queer music video for Midsumma 2021

Ever seen a music video and thought, "that looks like an absolute blast"? Queer screen culture mag Sissy Screens, in collaboration with musician Tanzer, are giving you the chance to basically step inside a campy, queer music video with Midsumma event Disco Instamatic

Taking place at the Abbotsford Convent every night from April 29 to May 1, Disco Instamatic is a large scale hyper-colour projection artwork featuring stars from across Melbourne's queer arts landscape – think the Huxleys, Atong Atem, Karen from Finance and Mo'Ju. The whole work features wild disco vibes and is overlaid with Tanzer's new single, 'Deep Fried Disco'.

Disco Instamatic is supported by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria, the Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts, and also received an ANZ and Sydney Mardi Gras Community Grant. It's free to attend, but you must register.
