Living legend Patti Smith is touring Australia this April. She'll be headlining Bluesfest, and playing her landmark 1975 album Horses with a full band at the Arts Centre. Her six dates across Australia are all but sold out, but she will also be giving this special concert at Festival Hall.
Smith will perform originals and selected covers from across 11 studio albums and 43 years of rock music. The acclaimed artist, writer, activist and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee will be joined on stage by longtime band mates Lenny Kaye and Jay Dee Daugherty, with Tony Shanahan on piano/bass and Andy York on guitar.
Supporting act on the night will be our very own rock treasure, Courtney Barnett, who has been heavily influenced by the Patti. It'll be one of the only chances to catch Barnett in 2017, and one of the last performances Patti Smith and her band will ever do – so make sure you snap up tickets ASAP.
