Rickie Lee Jones exploded onto the scene in 1979 with her hit ‘Chuck E’s in Love’. With a career that spans decades, genres and two Grammy wins, Jones is set to bring her honest storytelling to Melbourne for an intimate performance.
In recent years Jones has founded her own record label and released her 13th studio album, The Other Side of Desire, her first album of completely original material since 2003. The powerful full-length album was written, recorded and rooted in the city of New Orleans, which Jones calls home.
See Jones on Friday April 7 at the Melbourne Recital Centre. The gig is on the back of Jones’ appearance at Byron Bay Bluesfest over Easter.
