The Frock Up Pop Up is run by the crew behind the Way We Wear Fairs, the organisers of the biggest vintage events in Australia. Their first Melbourne event for the year is being celebrated with $25 racks (get sifting and find some real vintage bargains) and a clearance sale of quality items from Seams Old, who will be using the funds to buy WWI women's uniforms that will later be exhibited in the Women of Empire exhibition, which is travelling Australia.
Expect designer and homemade garments from the '50s to the '80s and vintage accessories galore to complete your outfit (hats, bags, gloves, brollies, jewellery). If you've got small enough feet, apparently there's some wee Jimmy Choos going for $100. There are also a few dress-makers' mannequins going for a song at $50.
Whether you pick up a '50s party frock in mint condition or a blouse needing a bit of love, you can rest safe in the knowledge that it'll be a one of a kind.
