This is a cracking idea. A lot of us buy second hand and vintage clothing, share clothes with our mates and hock our once loved garb at markets, partly inspired not only by the desire to save a buck but also to be a little more eco friendly. Peta Stephenson, Penny Lane's owner and stylist, was guided by this ethos when she opened her store, which ingeniously combines all of those features in one pretty location (designed in collaboration with Samantha Eades of Stylesmiths).
The kicker's that it's up to you as to whether you sell, swap or shop garments. That said, if you're bringing stuff in, it has to be in great nick and the shop's got the discretion to knock it back.
Plus, Stephenson hand picks everything gracing a hanger with her stylist's eye and offers in store style advice (where sought, naturally).
