Is there anything classier than high tea at one of Melbourne's poshest grand hotels, while listening to classical music played by the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra? No, there is not.
The early music group is hosting a high tea at Werribee Mansion Hotel and Spa as a fundraiser for its 2019 season. There will be a special performance by Brandenburg Orchestra musicians, followed by a spread of sweet and savoury high tea favourites.
Arrive early to take a wander around the gorgeous grounds. There is a sculpture garden (you can listen to an audio tour on your smartphone as you stroll), plenty of beautiful trees and flower beds bursting with colour, depending on the season. The 10-hectare Werribee Park also includes Werribee Open Range Zoo, for a walk on the wild side, and Shadowfax Winery.
