Cactus ice cream party and plant sale

Time Out says

Buy a cactus, eat some ice cream and don’t mix the two up

The green thumbs over at Jungle Collective are throwing an indoor plant sale with a difference. At their cactus ice cream party you can pick up a new plant on the cheap, grab some ice cream and let loose with some Mexican tunes at the collective’s Abbotsford warehouse. It makes us wonder really: why don't all sales also offer edible incentives?

You’ll be able to grab a new prickly plant friend but there will be more than just cacti on sale. There will be all your indoor faves like succulents, pileas, rubber figs, hanging plants and giant birds of paradise. To house your new floral companion you can even nab a designer pot or two. And if you’re in need of a little gardening advice, the Jungle Collective will have a horticulturist on-site to help you out.

Just like a regular party you’ll also be rewarded for dressing up – turn up wearing a sombrero and you’ll get $5 off your purchase. If you’re only in it for the ice cream (no judgement here) you’re in luck, with the frozen desserts being brought by the Ice Cream Man in his ice cream van (with dairy-free options available). Guests are advised to BYO boxes to carry their plant babies home in as limited numbers will be available on the day. Be sure to RSVP before the day via their Facebook event
