Ah, the Espresso Martini. The best way to boost your day with a caffeine-loaded, boozy beverage. It should then come as no surprise that we as Melburnians love our Espresso Martinis. So much so that the Ascot Lot has relaunched its festival dedicated to the cocktail.
On Saturday, March 27 the food truck park is bringing back five types of Espresso Martini. Expect the classic version (a concoction of vodka, Kahlua and coffee), the Bounty Hunter (a take-on the chocolate bar with coconut, chocolate and espresso) and Mint Like You for the crazed folk that love minty chocolate (mint, espresso, chocolate and Peppermint Crisp).
All of the Espresso Martinis on offer are available for $12 each, or the hardcore fans can purchase an “Espresso Yourself pass”, which lets you try all five flavours for $49. As usual there will be a stack of food trucks on hand to feed the crowds, plus dogs and kids are welcome. Entry to Espresso Yourself is free.
