Best-selling author Roxane Gay, the author of Hunger: A Memoir of (My) Body, Bad Feminist and Not That Bad: Dispatches from Rape Culture, is known the world over as a feminist icon. She's coming to Melbourne for a conversation with philosopher and writer Christina Hoff Sommers, author of Who Stole Feminism? and The War Against Boys. A libertarian, Hoff Sommers argues much of modern feminism includes an "irrational hostility to men".
The two will debate ideas at Jeff's Shed in March in what is sure to be a fiery and thought-provoking evening of feminist thought and clashing worldviews. The pair will debate topics including social inequality, violence against women, sexual harassment and more.
Anyone interested in feminist theory and lively conversation should book tickets now.
