Start putting together your perfect party outfit because festival season is finally here. During the warmer months, Moonee Valley plays host to a jam-packed line-up of events bringing together good music, great entertainment and glorious food. Here’s everything to add to your diary in early 2024.

Moonee Valley Festival

Kicking off 2024 is none other than Moonee Valley’s largest community celebration, the Moonee Valley Festival. This much-missed free fiesta returns to its original home at Queens Park on Saturday, February 24, for the first time since 2018. You can hit up the festival from 10am to explore the market stalls, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy family-friendly activities. Stick around until 5pm, so you don’t miss a single minute of the fun, including free entertainment from artists like comedy duo The Listies and the high-energy Team Dream

Moonee Valley After Dark

For the first time, Moonee Valley will introduce a brand new after-dark element to its festival season. From 5pm, the daytime festivities will transform into Moonee Valley After Dark, where attendees can get lost in a wonderland of magical illuminations, live concerts and pumping DJ sets. Multi-award-winning Aboriginal Australian electronic duo Electric Fields will keep the party alive well into the night, alongside ’90s Australian pop sensation Joanne, Naarm-based DJ Aqueerius and special guest host Karen from Finance

Lincoln Park Twilight Concert

Back by popular demand, Moonee Valley’s free Twilight Concert is a guaranteed good time for the whole family. Pack your picnic rugs and settle in for a night of outdoor entertainment on Saturday, March 2 from 5-9pm, including incredible performances by electro-rock sensations Rogue Traders, fronted by Natalie Bassingthwaighte, as well as Melbourne rock chicks The Lost Girls and DJ Be Kind to Other People. There will also be interactive neon lights, fun kids’ activities and plenty of delicious food.

Mediterranean Fiesta

Celebrate Moonee Valley’s rich cultural heritage at this beloved Mediterranean extravaganza on Saturday, March 23 from 11am-3pm. Taking over Centreway in Keilor East, this free multicultural fiesta brings together electric music, local performances and kids’ activities, all in the one place. You can boogie or sway along to the groovy tunes, and then fuel up with a colourful array of food and refreshments.
