It's probably fair to say 2020 has not turned out the way many of us had hoped, but it's now time to start preparing for whatever the next decade has to throw at us. What will life be like in 2030? What will the job market look like? What will our homes and cities look like? And what are you doing now to arm yourself with the skills you'll need to thrive in the new, changed world?
General Assembly has launched an online festival to help you do just that. It's called the 2030 Movement, and it runs from September 14-19. Do you want to learn how to use technology more efficiently? Find a new career? Learn skills that will be in demand now and down the track? Speakers will talk about everything from how to find a job in the virtual world to the built environment to what skills you need now to best set yourself up for success to the most efficient way to exercise.
Better still, every single workshop and talk is absolutely free. You can learn the basics of coding, some brilliant social media tips and some important predictions for what the world will look like in 2030. There are workshops and tips all day from 9am on Monday morning until 1pm on Saturday, so make the week of September 14-19 the time to learn what the future holds.
