CMA New York City Cultural Festival

Celebrate New York City diverse neighborhoods with this one day festival at the Children's Museum of the Arts. Learn about Harlem's rich history and culture by creating a jazz beat in the soundbooth, create a "dapper" 3D designs like feathered caps or sculptural suspenders inspired by the Harlem Renaissance, and be wowed with an interactive presentation by the Harlem Swing Dance Society (12pm–3pm). Little gothamites can show their appreciation for the city's no. 1 mode of transportation by creating their own subway station mosaics, while Broadway babies can create and animate caricatures inspired by Al Hirschfeld's famed Broadway production illustrations.
