Next time you and your crew find yourselves on Governors Island, head to Building 110: LMCC's Arts Center to catch this summer-long, design-centric show mounted by the Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum. (It's showing here because the museum is undergoing a massive renovation at the moment.) Design-savvy older kids will get a kick out of the wild, wacky and sometimes ingenious works—all made since 2000—on view, from furniture and neon art to advertisements, posters, magazines and books. All ages.
