Garden Party at the Louis Armstrong House Museum

The only preserved house of a jazz legend in the world is throwing a family-friendly garden party to celebrate the life and work of its erstwhile resident, Louis Armstrong. Free, docent-led tours of the house—all accompanied by rare recordings of the master—will be offered all weekend, as will live jazz performances, swing dancing, and samplings of Satchmo's favorite red beans–and-rice recipe.
