Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture

Located just 25 miles north of NYC, Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture is a four-season farm and education center dedicated to sustainable farming practices. Throughout the entire year, Stone Barns Center grows hundreds of vegetables, fruits, flowers, herbs in 7.5 acres of outdoor fields and gardens as well as a 22,000 square-foot greenhouse. A bunch of different animals like chickens, turkeys, sheep and goats call the Center home. In the beginning of the Spring, Stone Barns Center hosts their annual Sheep Shearing Fest where families can watch a flock of sheep be sheared by farmers.
