Winter Wetland Ecology

Though the natural world in and around Prospect Park seems to shut down during the winter months, its residents are in fact doing what they must to survive. This drop-off workshop gives kids a look at what goes on beneath the surface of the ice in the zoo's ponds and streams, and lets kids get a close-up view of some wetland inhabitants with an animal encounter. Ages 7 to 10.
