Everyone loves a good Dr. Seuss story and a great children's museum! Why not appreciate the creator of The Cat in the Hat and How the Grinch Stole Christmas on a larger scale with this brand new Dr. Seuss Museum?

Opening in Springfield, Massachusetts (a great weekend trip for families!) in June 2017, The Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum will offer objects donated by Ted Geisel (Dr. Seuss!)'s stepdaughters, including sculptures, pieces from his drawing studio and his collection of bowties! There will be interactive spaces for children involving The Cat in the Hat, The Lorax and Horton, and guests will also have the opportunity to participate in an interactive tour of Ted's childhood, each space involving rhyming and wordplay.

Last but not least, the Museum features an educational resource space called The Cat's Corner that will be open to both school groups and the public. The museum opening will occur right around the 15th anniversary of the Dr. Seuss. National Memorial Sculpture Garden, so don't forget to check that out too if you happen to make the trip!
