A new bodega has opened up by The Standard, High Line this month, but the stuff for sale is not anything you would expect. In fact, calling these goods “stuff” fits the bill perfectly, because everything at 8 'Till Late is made out of felt! The shelves are filled with lifelike boxes of food, fruits, veggies, cereal and more, all hand-stitched with such attention to detail that you’ll have to touch them to believe they’re not the real thing.

British artist Lucy Sparrow originally developed the concept for a 2014 installation in London called "The Cornershop" that contained items typically found in a London convenience store. Now, Sparrow has reconfigured the idea to present the typical neighborhood bodega in all its glory and she has certainly done New Yorkers proud. The bodega is such a quintessential part of New York City life and has rescued us time after time with its dizzying assortment of All the Things right at our fingertips. And yes, you’d better believe there’s a bodega cat involved!

The adorable felt shop, 8 ‘Till Late, also features a fully stocked freezer with microwavable meals, a rotating rack of pizza, a hot dog stand with glitter glue condiments and a deli counter with meats, sausage links, cheese and a slicing machine that would be safe for all ages to use.

Visitors can’t get stuffed on any of the goods from this shop, but they can still walk away with a unique plushie that’s so New York. All felt items will be on sale at the bodega pop-up until June 30 and online at sewyoursoul.co.uk.

Fill up your shopping basket at 69 Little W 12th St (sewyoursoul.co.uk) Mon–Sun 8am–8pm through June 30.
