Did you know that Anastasia is coming to Broadway? This new musical from the Tony Award-winning creators of Ragtime is a must-see for those that loved Twentieth Century Fox’s animated film Anastasia (1997) (or Anastasia at Hartford Stage). Unfamiliar with the story? The show follows the tale of a young woman, Anya, as she goes in search of her lost family—and finds a little more than she’d bargained for.
The cast includes Derek Klena, Christy Altomare, Ramin Karimloo, Mary Beth Peil, Caroline O’Connor and John Bolton, with music and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, the book by Terrence McNally and Darko Tresnjak directing.
