If you and your kids are having palpitations about the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, you'll definitely want to check out Discovery Times Square's upcoming exhibition. "Rebel, Jedi, Princess, Queen: Star Wars and the Power of Costume," opening November 14, will draw saga superfans with over 70 costumes from the first six films, as well as artifacts from the forthcoming movie before it's in theaters! Geek out over awesome pieces used onscreen, including Darth Vader's mask, C-3PO's gilded suit, Queen Amidala's intricate gowns and Princess Leia's golden bikini.

Kids will especially freak over the Imperial Stormtrooper costume and the adorable, rolling BB-8 droid appearing in the next chapter (which could be even cuter than R2D2). The traveling Smithsonian Exhibition, borrowing pieces from a collection of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, will give families a peek at George Lucas' creative process via concept drawing, artist sketches and the finished designs. Catch "Star Wars and the Power of Costume: The Exhibition" at Discovery Times Square from November 14 through September 5, 2016—tickets for timed entry are on sale now

Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters on December 17, but our picks of the 50 best kids' movies should hold you over 'til then! There are plenty more cool exhibits to check out at NYC's best museums for children including the gigantic new dinosaur coming to the American Museum of Natural History!
