Every parent knows the expletive-inducing pain of stepping on LEGOs left behind by the kids—it's practically a coming-of-age moment for moms and dads. But a new product might mean that you never have to experience the stabbing sensation again! Along with French ad agency Brand Station, LEGO has created slippers that help cushion your feet in case of stepping on some abandoned bricks. They're shaped like the colorful bricks themselves and made with heavy padding to protect your tootsies.

LEGOs are always in high demand as holiday gifts for kids, and owning a pair of these slippers might mean you don't have to blacklist the bricks this year. Unfortunately you can't purchase them, and only about 1,500 pairs pairs were made, but you can try for the free giveaway by creating a holiday wish list on the Lego France website. These slippers deserve a spot in our roundup of the 20 things NYC parents really want for the holidays for their ability to ensure a peaceful Christmas for kids and grown-ups, too.
