Every year, Jimmy Kimmel invites parents to outright lie to their kids and tell them they ate all of their hard-earned Halloween candy. And every year, these parents come through with videos of their kids' hilarious—though sometimes heartbreaking—reactions. In the seventh installment of the host's massive prank, titled "I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy," the poor tykes' reactions range from full-on rage to complete forgiveness for their parents' infraction. Some have even started catching on that there might be something fishy going on.

Watch this year's compilation video below and tell us: Have you ever pranked your own kids for a laugh?

If you're looking for legitimate ways to cut back on the sugar your kids will surely devour this week, give away a portion of their treats to these charitable organizations that accept Halloween candy donations. They'll be distributed to soldiers overseas and other groups in need of something sweet in their lives. And if you did, in fact, eat a chunk of their Halloween stash, you might want to smooth things over with your little one by planning a trip to a candy store or dialing up one of New York's cookie delivery services ASAP.
